Longtime Ashland resident Evalyn Marie Bobbett, 89, passed away April 2, 2013 at her daughter's home in Nashua, N.H. with her family at her side. Born in Fort Benton, Mont. to Benjamin Bear and Eva (Smith) Bear, she attended school in Fort Benton. She married Andrew Bobbett in Helena, Mont. in 1948, and in 1955 moved to Ashland where she resided until 2008.
Evalyn was an active member of First Baptist Church of Ashland and Roxy Ann Gem and Mineral Club. She loved to garden and create floral arrangements, but most of all she cherished her family and grandchildren. Her family includes one son, Allen Bobbett and his wife Jackie of Baton Rouge, La.; one daughter, Joan Yates of Nashua, N.H.; three grandsons, David Yates and his wife Wendy, Adrian Yates and his wife Laura, Jason Bobbett and his wife Marisel; one granddaughter, Tammy Lennox and her husband Timothy; 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Andrew, brothers Robert Bear and Joseph Bear, and great-great-granddaughter Mia Yates.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
