Up-and-coming rock-pop sextet The Boom Booms is on the road testing out songs for a new album.

The band, which hails from Vancouver, British Columbia, will perform at 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, at Club 66, 1951 Ashland St., Ashland. The cover is $3.

The band was awarded second place and took home a $75,000 cash prize.
