PHOENIX, Ariz. — Jamie Flynn struck out 13 in a complete game win and Bryce Rogan had two hits, including a two-run single in the fourth, as Ashland completed a 3-0 week at the Greenway Festival on Thursday with a 6-3 victory over Widefield, Colo., at Moon Valley High School.

Flynn allowed three runs, two earned, on six hits and struck out five batters in the last two innings to help the Grizzlies (4-5) hang on for their third win in as many days in Arizona. Rogan was 2-for-4 with a double, two RBIs and a run, Aaron Scott 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run and Flynn 1-for-2 with two walks and an RBI.

Ashland went ahead in the first inning when Rogan opened the game with a double and scored on Flynn's single to center. In the second, Steen Fredrickson scored on Aaron Scott's sacrifice fly to make it 2-0.

The Grizzlies pulled away in the fourth. Widefield starting pitcher Jake Volcic walked Eric Carlson, Fredrickson and Vince Cammarota to load the bases for Scott, who singled home Carlson. Ian Alpenia drove in another run with a fielder's choice ground out to third, and Rogan followed with a single up the middle to bring home Cammarota and Scott.
