The 12th annual showcase of independent films will be held Thursday through Monday, April 4-8, at the Varsity Theatre, 166 E. Main St. ; the Historic Ashland Armory, 208 Oak St. ; the Ashland Springs Hotel, 212 E. Main St. ; and the festival’s newest venue, Ashland Street Cinemas, 1664 Ashland St. The festival’s lineup features 91 feature films, documentaries and shorts from Oregon and around the world. AIFF’s Opening Night Bash will be held at 7:30 p. m. Thursday at the Ashland Springs Hotel. Tickets cost $30. The annual Awards Celebration will be at 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Lucy Walker receives the Rogue Award. Tickets cost $75 and include food and beverages. Filmmaker panel discussions will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are required, but free. Advance tickets may be purchased online at www.ashlandfilm.org. Tickets will be available from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. during the festival at the Varsity Theatre.
