Brush burning scheduled above Ashland today

Ashland Forest Resiliency Stewardship Project crews will burn brush piles in the Ashland Watershed today, which may impact nearby trail usage because of smoke.

The smoke clouds may affect trails in the Four Corners area. Anyone using them should be cautious and also watch for workers in the area. Smoke from the brush burning could be visible from Ashland.

The controlled burns will reduce the amount of natural fuels that can drive summer wildfires. More information about the ongoing Ashland Forest Resilency Stewardship Project is available online at
