Amateur naturalist John Jackson, the owner of Bugs-R-Us Educational Services, will teach a class about mammals from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, at 620 N. Mountain Ave., Ashland.

The program will feature real animal skulls and furs as well as studies of animal scat, tracks, and a hands-on track-making activity. There will be no live animals.

Those interested in attending should register online at www.ashland.or.us/register or call the North Mountain Park Nature Center at 541-488-6606. The cost is $7 for ages 3 and older. Children under age 7 must be accompanied by a parent/helper at no additional charge.
