Perpetual Drifters at Alex's

Perpetual Drifters, based in Chico, Calif., delivers singer-songwriter Garrett Gray's romantic, observational and introspective lyrics on a folk-rock platter.

The Drifters — Gray, drummer Justin Wood, guitarist Nolan Ford and bassist Evan McPherson — will perform at 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Jan. 25-26, at Alex's Plaza Restaurant and Bar, 35 N. Main St., Ashland.

The band will play songs from its two albums, "Hopelessly Devoted" (2009) and "Waiting for Saturn" (2011), along with ones by Wilco, The White Stripes and Ryan Adams.

Local Americana and blues band LEFT — Bret Levick, Bob Evoniuk, Greg Frederick and Matt Terriri — will open Friday's show, and the Turner Moore Band will open Saturday's show.
