A Human Bean coffee stand south of Medford was robbed at gunpoint Monday night, and police say the incident could be linked to the recent robbery of a Bad Ass Coffee in Medford last week.
The Jackson County Sheriff's Department reported a man walked up to the drive-thru stand in the 3900 block of South Pacific Highway at just before 8:50 p.m., pointed a gun at the lone female employee, and demanded money. He fled with an undisclosed amount of cash and was last seen running toward Fern Valley Road.
"The description is very similar, (as are) the time in which it happened and the manner in which it happened," sheriff's spokeswoman Andrea Carlson said.
No one was hurt, officials reported.
The suspect was described as a white man in his late 20s to early 30s, about 5 feet 9 inches and thin. He wore dark jeans, a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt and a mask.
This is the second armed robbery in less than a week for the Rogue Valley.
