A free Christmas dinner will be served from noon to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 25, at the Historic Ashland Armory, 208 Oak St.
Ashland Christian Fellowship has provided the annual holiday meal with support from local merchants since 1979. About 1,000 diners are expected this year, organizers said.
Seniors, families, singles, homeless people and those with homes are all welcome for a traditional turkey dinner with gravy, mashed potatoes, stuffing, yams, tossed salad, bread, hot cider, coffee and homemade pies, organizers said. Live music will add to the festive atmosphere.
Local rides and dinner deliveries to shut-ins can be pre-arranged before Christmas Day by calling the church office at 541-482-8539 or event director Chris Adams at 541-890-4740.
