Mobility Unlimited plans to dissolve as founder retires

 Posted: 11:45 AM December 06, 2012

A local nonprofit with the mission of helping disabled adults with their mobility and independence is closing up shop.

Medford-based Mobility Unlimited will dissolve the organization in the coming weeks after its founders and major corporate sponsors stepped down. The company was founded in 2001 and has provided hundreds of disabled individuals statewide with wheelchairs, motorized vehicle lifts and ramps.

"It's been a great run; we're proud of how many lives we've touched and the service we've provided to the community," founder Bruce Hough said.

Those still requiring assistance should contact the local Vocational Rehabilitation branch, 28 W. Sixth St., Medford, or the HASL Independent Abilities Center in Grants Pass for information about other resources.
