The Jackson County Animal Shelter's monthly low-cost pet vaccinations will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at the Shelter, 5595 S. Pacific Highway.

The Jackson County Animal Shelter's monthly low-cost pet vaccinations will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at the Shelter, 5595 S. Pacific Highway.

Vaccinations are $10 each; payment is cash only.

Dogs can get vaccine for rabies and a combined shot covering distemper, adenovirus, parvo, parainfluenza and leptospirosis. Cats can get vaccine for rabies, and a distemper combo that also protects against other respiratory infections.

Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to get the shots, and must not be at ill, on antibiotics, in heat, or on cortisone products.

Nail trimming is available for $5. Dog licensing and low-cost spay/neuter information will be available.
