The city of Ashland is seeking applications from people interested in replacing City Councilor David Chapman, who resigned Oct. 26.
Chapman, who had a long history of occasionally losing his temper at council meetings, held Position 6 on the council.
The City Council must choose Chapman's replacement by Dec. 25. The person will serve until Dec. 13, 2014.
Applications are due by 5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14.
Applicants should send a letter of interest to the city recorder's office, along with background information that includes answers to the following questions:
