Agee, Lemhouse and Rosenthal leading in Ashland City Council race

Challenger Jackie Agee had an edge over incumbent Carol Voisin in early returns for Ashland City Council races.

Agee had 50.84 percent, or 3,825 votes, to Voisin's 48.84 percent, or 3,675 votes, according to an 8 p.m. count from the Jackson County Elections Office.

Councilor Greg Lemhouse led with 67.43 percent, or 4,970 votes, against challenger Keith Haxton, who had 32.38 percent, or 2,387 votes.

Rich Rosenthal was winning an open Ashland City Council seat with 43.43 percent, or 3,194 votes. Regina Ayars was trailing in that contest with 38.41 percent, or 2,825 votes, as was Bruce Harrell, with 17.95 percent, or 1,320 votes.

For an open Ashland Parks and Recreation Commission seat, Vanston Shaw had 59.60 percent, or 3,516 votes, to Vicki Tripoli's 39.40 percent, or 2,324 votes.
