Doug Breidenthal said it was too early to claim victory in the race for Jackson County commissioner with only a slim lead in early election results.
Democratic challenger Jeff Scroggin trailed Breidenthal by more than 1,000 votes just after the 8 p.m. results were released by Jackson County Elections.
Scroggin said he would wait for the next set of election results this evening before making any comments.
