  • Rabbi Joshua Boettiger will be installed as the new spiritual leader of Temple Emek Shalom, 800 E. Main St., in Ashland, on Sunday, Nov. 4. The ceremony will include welcoming words from 20 Rogue Valley clergy, elected officials, educators and business leaders.
    The installation will be led by Rabbi Benjamin Barnett of Corvallis, who is a longtime friend and classmate of Boettiger. The public is invited to the 7 p.m. ceremony, which will be followed by a dessert reception. Participating in the event will be Emek Shalom cantor Bella Feldman and the Temple's Shabbat Shirah orchestra.
    Boettiger served for six years as spiritual leader of Congregation Beth El in Bennington, Vt.
