Brammo to move into Talent Walmart building

 Posted: 2:15 PM July 13, 2012

Electric motorcycle maker Brammo Inc. is purchasing the Talent Walmart building at 300 W. Valley View Road.

Walmart plans on moving into its new Supercenter in south Medford in August, according to a press release. Brammo will take over the Talent location sometime later this year. Founder and Chief Executive Officer Craig Bramscher has described the 90,000-square-foot building as a good location for shipping and receiving because of its proximity to Interstate 5.

Brammo had been one of several clients eyeing the space, including the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and Rising Sun Farms.

"This is an exciting opportunity for Brammo to accelerate its growth here in the Rogue Valley and consolidate our teams from the multiple locations we currently occupy," Bramscher said in the release.

Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Ore., weighed in on Brammo's recent business moves, praising the company's initiative.

"Brammo's announcement today that it is expanding its North American manufacturing is good news for the company and great news for the Oregon economy," Wyden said in a statement. "Brammo is on its way to creating more good-paying jobs and putting down even deeper roots in Southern Oregon."

Walmart's new location will be at 1360 Center Drive, Medford.
