A crash has slowed traffic on Interstate 5 over the Siskiyou Pass.

The northbound lanes closed briefly so a Mercy Flights helicopter could airlift an injured person who was extricated from a vehicle involved in the crash at mile 4, Oregon State Police reported.

Oregon Department of Transportation reports that the northbound slow lane and shoulder is closed at the site of the crash. Tripcheck.com estimates delays of about 20 minutes.

Updated 5:15 p.m. Passers-by report that a white SUV with Washington license plates apparently struck a parked semi-trailer. Possessions were scattered across the pavement and crews were sweeping up debris. Oregon State Police and Jackson County Fire District No. 5 responded.
