Ashland's library looks for goods for its Giving Tree

Ashland Public Library staff is collecting new gloves, mittens, scarves, hats and socks on the Giving Tree at the library.

Library patrons can buy or make any of the items and hang them on the tree until Dec. 5, when they'll be donated to children attending Ashland's two Head Start childcare programs.

The library will present the gifts with the assistance of several Ashland High School students, who will read storybooks, and Friends of the Ashland Public Library, who will provide snacks. The library is located at 410 Siskiyou Blvd.

For more information about the giving tree, call the library at 774-6995 or see Daily Tidings reporter Hannah Guzik's blog Writing About Writing at dailytidings.com.
