Local resident Oona J Meade-Beauregard, owner of Hipmamastyling, recently created her own line of skin care products called Kamboona. The products are made from organic ingredients, including Kombucha, a fermented tea. Meade-Beauregard, a former Oregon Shakespeare Festival hair and makeup stylist, works as a stylist for film and print projects. She also works as an esthetician. Evo's Coffee Lounge, 376 E. Main St., will hold its monthly Giving Day on Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The café will give $1 from each purchase made to the Dunn House Women's Shelter. The event will also feature an auction, live music by local musicians and visual art. For more information call 482-2261.

Ashland company Open Door Networks Inc. announced Monday that it has shipped an update to its DoorStop line of Internet security products for Mac OS X. The update improves compatibility with Apple's new Snow Leopard operating system and the iPhone, and adds a Twitter stream to the package. The DoorStop X Security Suite, version 2.3 costs $79. The Oregon Small Business Council launched a Web site last week that serves as a resource for interested small business owners, current members and media representatives. Access the site — which includes a blog, contact information and links to social media — by logging on to www.oregonsmallbusiness.org. The council is a statewide coalition of small business owners who support health care reform.
