Police and fire reports July 30

Wednesday 10:01 a.m.—Police responded to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of North First and East Main streets. A driver was rear ended while stopping for a pedestrian, and police cited the other driver for following too close and driving without a license.

Wednesday 10:15 a.m.—A male juvenile's gray Specialized mountain bike was stolen from the porch of his residence on Oak Street.

Wednesday 10:26 a.m. — Police took a man into protective custody and transported him to Rogue Valley Medical Center for a mental health evaluation after determining that he was a danger to himself or others on North Main Street.

Wednesday 11:50 a.m. — Police arrested a 24-year-old man for theft after he shoplifted from Market of Choice.

Wednesday 2:23 p.m. — Police arrested a 28-year-old man for animal neglect after he left his dog in his vehicle for approximately one hour on North Main Street.

Wednesday 5:17 p.m. — Police cited and released a 55-year-old woman for two counts of animal neglect after she knowingly left her dogs in a hot vehicle without water on Lithia Way and North First Street.

Wednesday 7:59 p.m. — A known man was transported to Rogue Valley Medical Center after police determined he was a threat to himself in the 1800 block of Ashland Street.

Thursday 12:13 a.m. — A known man was lodged in detox after police determined he was too intoxicated to care for himself on Lithia Way and North First Street.

Thursday 12:35 a.m. — Police arrested two 25-year-old men for disorderly conduct after they engaged in a fight in the center of the street near the Plaza on North Main Street. One of the men was additionally charged with intimidation after witnesses said that he used racial slurs against the other man prior to the fight.

Thursday 12:45 a.m. — An unidentified male entered a residence on Garfield Street and remained unlawfully with the intent to commit a crime.

Thursday 1:47 a.m. — An unidentified man was caught masturbating while viewing a known woman in a nude state through her bedroom window in the 100 block of Lincoln Street.

Ashland Fire & Rescue

Wednesday 9:02 a.m. — Rescuers responded to a medical emergency in the first block of Garfield Street.

Wednesday 11:29 a.m. — Rescuers responded to a medical emergency in the 500 block of North main Street.

Wednesday 3:43 p.m. — Firefighters responded to an outdoor rubbish fire in the 1700 block of Ashland Street.

Wednesday 7:49 p.m. — Rescuers responded to report of a person in distress in the 1800 block of Ashland Street.
