Police and fire reports July 20

Friday 11:05 a.m. — On Thursday at some point between the hours of 4 p.m. and 11:30 p.m., an unknown person passed a counterfeit bill at the Yogurt Hut.

Friday 2:58 p.m. — A 63-year-old woman was cited and released for theft after she was caught shoplifting at Safeway.

Friday 4:32 p.m. — A woman reported that an unknown male suspect peered into the window of her residence on Seventh Street and saw her naked.

Friday 5:18 p.m. — Police received a report of a man hitting his dog near the upper section of Granite Street. The case was unfounded, and the dog's owner was transported to detox. The man was later taken to Jackson County Jail after he physically harassed an employee at the detox center. He was charged with disorderly conduct, harassment, and criminal mischief after spitting on the police car.

Saturday 2:31 a.m. — Police arrested a 33-year-old man on Will Dodge Way after he was found to have a Jackson County warrant for failure to appear in court on an assault charge. He was lodged at Jackson County Jail.

Saturday 2:41 a.m. — Police received an informational report from the Department of Human Services regarding an extremely intoxicated woman who had juvenile children in her care in the Ashland area.

Saturday 6:58 p.m. — Police arrested a 39-year-old man on a Medford warrant. The man resisted arrest and created a disturbance on the plaza. He was additionally cited for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, and was lodged at Jackson County Jail.

Saturday 9:24 p.m. — Police took a man into protective custody and on Ashland Street and transported him to detox after he was found too intoxicated to care for himself.

Sunday 12:02 a.m. — Police transported a man to detox on North Laurel Street and Mountain View Drive.

Sunday 2:23 a.m. — Police arrested a 28-year-old man on East Main Street after he was found to be in violation of a no-alcohol clause of his probation. He was lodged at Jackson County Jail.

Sunday 10:31 a.m. — A counterfeit $20 bill was received at an Ashland business on Lithia Way.

Sunday 1:20 p.m. — Rescuers responded to a medical emergency at the 100 block of Maple Street.

Sunday 1:27 p.m. — Rescuers responded to a medical emergency at the 100 block of Emigrant Lake Road.

Sunday 8:09 p.m. — Ashland Fire & Rescue responded to a gas leak at the 300 block of Williamson Way.

Sunday 8:51 p.m. — Rescuers responded to a medical emergency at the 200 block of Maple Street.

Monday 1:32 a.m. — Rescuers responded to a medical emergency at the 200 block of Holiday Lane.
