Police & fire reports July 15

Tuesday 11:02 a.m. — Police picked up a bike that had been locked to a stop sign on West Street and Scenic Drive for three weeks.

Tuesday 11:44 a.m. — Police arrested a 40-year-old woman on the power of a warrant while she was contacted for trespassing at the 2200 block of Ashland Street. She was lodged at Jackson County Jail.

Tuesday 1:07 p.m. — Police arrested a 31-year-old woman for failing to register as a sex offender.

Tuesday 2:05 p.m. — Police took a woman into protective custody at the 100 block of Lithia Way after she was found too intoxicated to care for herself, and transported her to detox.

Tuesday 6:59 p.m. — Police cited a 22-year-old woman for theft after she was caught shoplifting at Market of Choice.

Tuesday 10:37 p.m. — A female juvenile was taken into protective custody on Granite Street and delivered to her father. She was additionally cited for minor in possession of alcohol.

Tuesday 10:52 p.m. — A 15-year-old male juvenile previously reported as a runaway from the Lithia Springs Boys Home was located and lodged at Jackson County Juvenile Detention for probation violation.

Ashland Fire & Rescue

Tuesday 10:37 p.m. — Rescuers responded to a medical emergency at the 600 block of Granite Street.

Tuesday 10:42 p.m. — Rescuers responded to a medical emergency at the 200 block of Maple Street.

Wednesday 6:44 a.m. — Ashland Fire & Rescue responded to a natural vegetation fire at the 1900 block of Ashland Street near the sidewalk.
