Honey runs thick in Mike Curtis' veins. The second-generation beekeeper is the owner of Wild Bee Honey Farm, family-owned and operated out of Eagle Point.
Along with honey, Curtis harvests strawberries, onions, apples and radishes on the farm to sell them at the Growers Market and in local stores.
Curtis's wife, Angelika Curtis, creates and sells several types of candles made from beeswax. She uses around 130 different molds to fashion owls, rabbits, elephants, lanterns and a variety of other shapes.
All Wild Bee Honey Farm products are certified organic and do not contain pesticides, preservatives, or chemicals, according to Mike Curtis.
"We raise everything ourselves," he said. "We give the local people good, wholesome stuff."
