Three people arrested Tuesday at a Yreka motel. Authorities seized more than an ounce of methamphetamine.
YREKA, Calif. (AP) — Siskiyou County authorities arrested three people Tuesday and seized more than an ounce of methamphetamine at a Yreka motel.
Suspecting a probation violation, the Siskiyou County-wide Interagency Narcotic Task Force and Yreka police searched a room at the Rodeway Inn, 1235 S. Main St., Yreka. The motel room had been rented to Melissa Solley, 35, and Michael Brouillette, 46, of Yreka.
The two weren't in the room, but police reported finding about one gram of meth packaged for sale, digital scales, hypodermic needles, documentation of drug sales and packaging materials.
The Siskiyou County Sheriff's Department tracked down Solley and Brouillette. Solley was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine for sale, possession of drug paraphernalia and conspiracy. Brouillette was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine for sale, possession of drug paraphernalia and commission of a felony while released on bail.
Agents also served a search warrant on the motel room and car of Walter McQueen, 61, of Lockford, Calif. Police reported finding about one ounce of methamphetamine, documentation of sales and packaging materials in his possession. He was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine for sale, transportation of methamphetamine for sale, and conspiracy.
All three adults were lodged in the Siskiyou County Jail. A 10-year-old child was taken into protective custody.
