A 19-month-old boy suffered only minor injuries early this morning in a rollover accident near Ashland, but the woman driving the car he was in faces multiple criminal charges, including second-degree kidnapping.
Lauryne Stubbs, 18, of Medford, was arrested at the scene of the accident at South Valley View and Eagle Mill roads on charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, second-degree kidnapping, driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless endangering and reckless driving.
She was lodged in Jackson County Jail but does not remain on the jailís roster this morning.
The boy, who was not identified by police, was strapped into a car seat in the back of the sedan when it was reported stolen at 1:36 a.m., Ashland police said.
Ten minutes later, police found the car and the boy at the accident site.
