The trio Bohemian Soul, Jeff Pevar (guitar), Inger Jorgensen (vocalist) and Joe Diehl (guitar), with special guests Teri Cote (hand percussion) and Goa Lobaugh (didgeridoo), will be playing at Bohemia Gallery in Ashland, at 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15, for a special holiday show. The trio play original, soulful melodies with roots in funk, RB, jazz, soul, folk and rock.
Doors open at 7:30 p.m., seating is limited. Advance tickets $10 / $12 at the door.
The gallery and state of the art frame shop is a new venue in Ashland and was designed to present music events, poetry nights, workshops, and film nights. It is an intimate setting that is rich in art and color with a cozy holiday atmosphere where people can sit and enjoy music, art and wine tasting. The gallery features a large selection of prints and original works by local and international artists.
Local painter Aurora Lupetti has her new works on display in the gallery, "The Divine Feminine." Her oil paintings are vibrant and alive, realistically depicting "Divas of nature and the universe" and sensual still lifes.
Born in San Francisco, Aurora attended the San Francisco State University and the University of Perugia in Italy. She became a full-time artist selling in high-profile galleries in Hawaii, Denver and Los Angeles. Lupetti currently resides in Ashland and paints full time.
Pevar and Jorgensen recently opened for Robert Cray and for The Little River Band at the Rogue Theatre. Pevar is a, performer, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist who has worked with a wide array of music's finest including Ray Charles, Crosby, Stills Nash, Rickie Lee Jones, Joe Cocker, Marc Cohn, and others.
Jorgensen is a vocalist, singer/songwriter, painter and part-owner of Bohemia Gallery. Joe Diehl plays with many projects all over the Rogue Valley and in the Bay area, including Mad World, Annie Mac, Horsefeathers, and Billie Rock.
