Price corrected for Wesak Celebration in Mount Shasta
Organizers of the 14th Annual Wesak Celebration in Mount Shasta have announced that an error was made when publicizing the cost of ticket prices in the Ashland area. Originally publicized at a $250, the actual price for southern Oregon residents is $150.
"Obviously we are embarrassed by this error," said coordinator Dawn Fazende. "The price was set lower than last year's cost to reflect our awareness of today's economic environment. We want to make sure Oregon residents have every opportunity to attend. There is a natural flow of cultural and economic exchange between Mt. Shasta and southern Oregon, especially Ashland. We intend to do our part to keep that going."
Although not a Buddhist festival, the Wesak Celebration is named after the full moon in May when some Buddhists believe their avatar was born, lived and ascended his body.
Top notch speakers and healers from all over the United States attend and share their wisdom. This year featured speakers include orb specialist Miceal Ledwith, from "What the Bleep Do We Know," UFO-ologist James Gilliland, healer Dr. Saul Shaye and channels Craig Russel and Amorah Quan Yin.
The event will be held May 16-18 at Sisson Middle School, 601 Alma Street in Mount Shasta. For more details visit the Web site at www.wesak.us. To purchase tickets at the correct price of $150, call 888-926-9255.
