Film will feature 'Living Luminaries'
Local organization Golden Flower Productions will hold a film event Sunday evening as a fundraiser for an independent documentary project based on the adventures of Arthur C. Clarke in his adopted homeland of Sri Lanka.
"Living Luminaries: On the Serious Business of Happiness" will show on Sunday, May 4, at 7 p.m. at the Havurah in Ashland.
Among the luminaries featured in the film are: bestselling authors Marianne Williamson and Eckhart Tolle (currently featured on Oprah), religious leaders Nachum Shiffren and Rev. Robert A. Schuller, and contemporary thinkers Obadiah S. Harris, and Robert Frager.
The film's producers and consultants will be in attendance Sunday evening with a Q & A around the film's central theme of the search for deeper fulfillment in today's complex world.
Golden Flower Productions follow-up projects — that incorporate the aspects of Eastern ancient wisdom cultures meeting Western science/technology concerns — and expansion of some of Eckhart Tolle's "A New Earth" concepts will be covered as well.
The cost is $10 at the door and additional donations will be accepted.
