Ashland student-athlete invited to prestigious camp

A sixth-grader at Ashland Middle School participated in the prestigious, invitation-only Football University camp Friday through Sunday at Highline Memorial Field in Seattle, Wash.

Danial White, the quarterback who helped Ashland capture to back-to-back Pop Warner state titles at both the Junior Pee Wee and Pee Wee level, earned an invitation to the camp, which boasts a long list of top flight instructors, including Ron Jaworski, Steve DeBerg and Tom Martinez.

White is a four-sport athlete who also played on Ashland's 11-12 Little League all-star baseball team last year and is currently a sprinter on the AMS track and field team.
